TITAN EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS

The CUIC of Anna University Chennai in association with GUVI, Mahindra Pride School is Organizing Titan Employability Skills Programme for final year students in about 8 Constituent colleges in the academic year 2017-2018 & University College of Engineering Dindigul is one among the selective colleges. About 143 eligible students from Civil, EEE, Mechanical & ECE are attending the training programme & the training programme is conducted both in online & in offline mode. The participating students have to take up online courses & complete them successfully. So far they have completed 30 lessons both in aptitude & in English after which the soft skills as well as the aptitude trainers came in person & clarified the doubts students had during the online courses & groomed them well for placements. Each module comprises of 10 lessons in English as well as in aptitude. The Titan Employability Training Programme started by September 2017 and till December the I module was carried out. The II module with soft skill trainers started by January 2018 & the dates in which the aptitude & English trainers came here for direct contact hours are September 27,28 & October 26,27 for the I module and January 2,3,4 ( ENGLISH) 9,10 & 11 (APTITUDE) for the II module.  The III module with interview skills, mock interview sessions and resume building tips was conducted during February 05 to 09.The 3^rd module with interview skills, mock interview sessions & resume building tips was conducted during February 5,6,7,8 & 9.

TCS TAAP PROGRAMME

The CUIC of Anna University Chennai in Association with TCS- Corporate Social Responsibility Team is organizing Tata Affirmative Action Program(TAAP) for pre-final years in selective engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu & University College of Engineering is one among the selected colleges in the academic year 2017-2018. The Training & Placement Cell of UCE Dindigul has facilitated the conduct of TAAP activity in the campus. A total of 80 students representing CSE, ECE, and EEE & Mechanical engineering are attending the programme. The Program Comprises of 3 modules of which the I module is completed. During the training sessions the students were taught with Business Skills, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation and Reasoning. II module is expected to start by February & will go on till March 2018. The 2^nd module comprises of the following topics Business Skills, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation and Reasoning.

PLACEMENTS

AU CUIC TNSLPP Recruitment drives for the final year students are being coordinated by Training & Placement cell of UCE-Dindigul.

• 19 Students are attending TCS & Infosys.
• 90 Students are attending WIPRO.
• 80 Students are attending the On Campus Drive planned on March 3^rd 2018 by Mecekaz solutions.

In view of the Drives, special 4 Days Technical Training Sessions was arranged for beneficiary students during Feb 15^th to 18^th.
