The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering came into existence in the year 2009 with total intake of 60 Under Graduate students. The Department has good infrastructural facilities and faculty strength. Highly qualified and experienced faculty members with specialization in Communication Systems, Applied Electronics and VLSI Design are looking after research and administration works besides teaching.

The Department has one recognized Research Supervisor in Anna University, Chennai. Presently, the Department has four internal research candidates, doing their Ph.D. programme in various disciplines.

The Department has well equipped laboratories through which creative ideas are sown in the minds of the students. Various laboratories are established with the wide range of equipments for doing their regular laboratory experiments.

The ECE students are placed in high profile industries like Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant Technology Solutions, WIPRO, Infosys Technologies, HCL Technologies Limited, Prodapt Solution Private Limited and VEE Technologies etc.,
