The department of physics offers Physics Laboratory classes for first year B.E., students. B.E., programme was started during the year 2009. The department was upgraded as a research department in the academic year 2009-2010. The department has excellent and separate facilities for B.E., & PhD programmes.
The lab is well equipped with all necessary instruments with seating capacity of 40 students and it has been according to the B.E., Anna University Chennai syllabus. UG lab is provided with internet connectivity for the usage of students.
It is research oriented lab with modern equipments. The lab includes magnetic stirrer, muffle furnace, Hot air oven, and Ultrasonication unit, conductivity cell arrangement which are purchased under DST project and a separate PC with internet connectivity is also available.
